Thought for the day
(The thought for the day is based on the Mass readings for the day)
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” Jn 3:13ff
So what is it that makes the cross of Christ so important? The Church teaches that all grace somehow flows through Jesus’ saving death on the cross. And of course there is his victory over sin and death in the Resurrection. Might it have something to do with total surrender and total forgiveness and total love that he showed while being crucified?
