From broken shell suspended

Spills without conditions

Welcome deluge abundant

Covers me

In lily white petals

Clothes me

In fragrant tranquility

Flows through

Outstretched fingers

Like coins

I look up smiling.

Grime of fruitless labor

Forgotten at my feet

Pools that reflect the starved

Grasping desperately

At mirage of paradise

Rays of light on fool’s gold
